Student Preparedness Checklist
☐ My information in myWSU is accurate and I have indicated how I want to be notified in case of an emergency on campus. (http://alert.wsu.edu)
☐ I have programmed the WSU Police Department’s phone numbers into my cell phone:

☐ I have downloaded the WSU mobile app (IOS or Android) to view emergency alerts, maps, weather, and campus information.
☐ I know what to do if there is a fire, hostile intruder, or hazmat incident while I’m in class or at home.
☐ My roommates and/or close friends know how to contact my family or emergency contact person. My family or emergency contact knows how to contact my roommates and/or close friends in case of an emergency.
☐ I have an entry in my cell phone of ICE (In Case of Emergency) or other emergency and medical information that police/fire/EMS can access if I cannot.
I know more than one way to get out of every building where I live, have classes, meetings and activities. If one exit is blocked, I can get out of the building using a different way.
I know where to shelter on campus and at home in case of severe weather.
When I go out, my roommates and/or close friends know where I’m going and the people I will be with.
When I go out at night, I have a plan on how I will get home. I have friends I can call to pick me up if I get stuck at a party or location where I feel uncomfortable.
☐ I know how to get to the WSU Student Health Center or Pullman Regional Hospital if I get sick.
☐ I know the housing staff for my residence hall, including my Resident Assistant, Resident Director, and other staff in case there’s an emergency or other problem.
