Fire

Fires can happen anywhere and at any time from things like overloaded power strips, candles, space heaters, cooking and electrical accidents.  Be aware of two exits out of every building and where fire alarms are located.

If you discover a fire:
  • Activate the nearest fire alarm.
  • Evacuate the immediate area and gather at the building assembly location.
    • Help those who may need assistance.
  • Call 9-1-1 when it is safe to do so.
  • Do not re-enter the building until instructed by authorized personnel.
If you hear a fire alarm:
  • Evacuate as soon as you hear the fire alarm.
  • Use the stairs only. Do not use elevators.
  • Proceed to the designated meeting area.
  • Do not re-enter the building until instructed by authorized personnel.
